APPLICATION FOR EVALUATION OF EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIALS

Foreign Credential Evaluations evaluates credentials for equivalency to the U.S. educational system. There are basically two types of evaluations as described here:

OFFICIAL TRANSLATIONS ARE REQUIRED  – FCE, Inc. does not translate documents.

All requests for evaluations must be accompanied by documents in the original language in which they were issued and by official English translations. Educational documents issued in languages other than English must be accompanied by literal, word-for-word translations into English by credible sources such as professional translation services, embassies, consular offices, language departments of US universities or other learning institutions. Official (original) documents in the language of issue are required for course-by-course evaluations.
Note that individuals who have earned education in certain countries must also provide additional credential verification from sources within those countries prior to evaluation of credentials by Foreign Credential Evaluations, Inc. (Chinese and West African students see below.)

Special Information for Students from West Africa:

Students from countries in West Africa under the jurisdiction of the West African Examinations Council, including Nigeria, Liberia, the Gambia, Ghana, and Sierra Leone will need to provide their West African Senior School Certificate and also a Scratch Card which can be obtained by contacting www.waecdirect.org.  Prior to issuing an evaluation, FCE must receive the serial number and PIN number of the scratch card from the applicant.

Nigerian students who tested with the National Examinations Council can obtain a Scratch Card by contacting www.mynecoresults.com.
