Foreign Credentials Evaluations, Inc. (“Company”, “we”, or “Us”) is committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how the Company collects, uses, and retains personal information to enable us to do business with you and improve our services.  We collect information from you through our website: http://www.fceatlanta.net (the “Site”).  In addition, based on the nature of our business and the services we provide, we collect and store information from applications or other documents submitted by you for evaluations and/or other services.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.  By using our Site and submitting an application for evaluation or request for another service we provide, you understand and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.  This Site is operated in the states of Georgia and North Carolina in the United States and may be accessed abroad. For data protection purposes, Company is the controller and, unless otherwise noted, is also the processor of data as defined in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).  If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, your choice is not to use our Site or other services that we provide. This policy is subject to change so please review it periodically.

UPDATING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND PRIVACY PREFERENCES

You have the right to access and correct or revise your Personal Information and privacy preferences at any time by contacting us at carolyn_christie@fceatlanta.com. We will respond to your request within a reasonable period of time, generally within 10 business days.

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND RETAIN FROM CUSTOMERS

This policy describes how we collect, use and protect any information about you including personal information that directly or indirectly identifies you.  The Company collects information from our Site which includes any online form that you fill out or any other information that you provide or submit through our Site.  In addition, the Company collects information from credential applications or documents that you send to us related to the services you have requested. We also may collect information, records, copies, or correspondence provided by third parties, universities, or educational institutions listed on your application and who are authorized to provide us information. The personal information that we collect includes any information that relates to, identifies, or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains, including: your name, address, email address, telephone number, fax number, date of birth, gender, country of education, educational history or experience, degree or certificate earned, certification or license number, and any information contained in educational documents provided to us (“Personal Information”).

When you visit this Site some Personal Information may be collected automatically as part of the Site’s operation. This information may include your IP (Internet Protocol), your browser type, access times, the website that referred you to us, and navigational information such as the pages you view on the Site. We collect information about your use of the Site and our other customers in the aggregate to learn more about how our Site is used by our customers in order to improve our services and our Site.

HOW WE USE AND PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Compliance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”):  If you are a resident of the European Union, we may only process your Personal Information if it is permitted under the GDPR and any other applicable data protection laws.  

BY USING OUR SITE OR OUR SERVICES, YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE CONSENTING TO OUR COLLECTION, USE, AND SHARING OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AS DESCRIBED IN THE PRIVACY POLICY.  IF YOU DO NOT CONSENT TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SITE OR OUR SERVICES.

The primary use of your Personal Information by the Company is to satisfy and fulfill our agreement to you to provide the service you have requested; most often a credential evaluation and any related or affiliated services.  We may also use your Personal Information to communicate with you about your order or account, including billing and collection issues, or to notify you of any changes to our products or services. We may also use your Personal Information in order to improve our Site or the services we provide.

We may contact you using your email or other Personal Information to respond to customer requests and inform you of special offers or services.

We may ask you questions relating to our service in order to better serve you and improve the use of our Site. Providing information regarding your usage and preferences is always voluntary.

We may contact you to investigate or take any action regarding illegal activity or any violations of our terms of service.

We may disclose Personal Information if required by law (for example, to comply with a subpoena, warrant, court order, or legal process) or when necessary to protect our rights, avoid litigation, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, and/or respond to a government request. OTHER DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not share, sell, or otherwise disclose your Personal Information for purposes other than those outlined below and in this Privacy Policy. However, we may disclose, in the aggregate, information about our clients or customers, and information that does not identify any individual.  We may disclose Personal Information that we collect or that you provide to contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.  We may disclose Personal Information to educational institutions, governing boards or bodies who issue or regulate certification or licensure, or other parties that you listed on your credential evaluation application or who may have information about you. We may disclose Personal Information to any third party you have requested that we send information to.  We may disclose Personal Information to any third party to market their products or services to you if you have consented to these disclosures.

SENSITIVE PERSONAL DATA UNDER THE GDPR

The Company does not request any Sensitive Personal Data or information as defined under the GDPR.  Please do not indicate or provide information to the Company regarding your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership or information regarding genetic or health related data, or your sexual orientation or sexual lifestyle.

DATA RETENTION POLICY

It is the policy of the Company to retain files and records which contain Personal Information for approximately one year.  We may also retain your Personal Information for as long as your information is needed to provide you services, or as required to fulfill our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.  If you wish for us to delete your file or account, or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, contact us at carolyn_christie@fceatlanta.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.  You assume all liability, and the Company will not be in any way responsible, if you request that we delete and destroy all of your Personal Information.

ABOUT COOKIES

When you visit Company’s Site, a text file called a cookie may be placed in the browser directory of your computer’s hard drive. A cookie is information that a website can store on your web browser and later retrieve. The information that cookies collect includes the date and time of your visit, your registration information and your navigational and licensing information. It allows the web browser to recognize the pages you have been to when you are visiting the Site and allows you to quickly return to viewed pages. DIRECT MARKETING

If at any time you decide that you do not want to receive marketing communications or emails from us you will have the option of opting out and/or unsubscribing from our emails and mailing lists by adjusting [your “Personal Information Preferences”] as follows: [(1) checking or unchecking the appropriate box on your online profile; (2) contacting us directly by sending an email to carolyn_christie@fceatlanta.com indicating that you no longer wish to receive communications or emails.  If you chose not to receive marketing emails, you may continue to receive transactional or account emails (e.g., purchase confirmations and account balance statements).

SECURITY OF OUR DATA

Whenever you submit an order to Company, you can do so over a secure (i.e., encrypted) connection. This ensures that your personal information is not at risk. Additionally, we encrypt your credit card information and store it in a secure location, which can be accessed only by authorized personnel. As no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic or other storage is 100% secure, while Company uses commercially reasonable methods to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee that it is absolutely secure. In the unlikely event that an unauthorized third-party compromises Company’s security measures, Company will not be responsible for any damages directly or indirectly caused by an unauthorized third party’s ability to view, use or disseminate your information.

REVIEWING, UPDATING, DELETING, OR CORRECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

If at any point you wish to access your personal information to (1) change your preferences, (2) review the accuracy, (3) withdraw your consent for the Company to use or process your Personal Information, or (4) correct, delete, supplement or modify your information, you may make a written request to carolyn_christie@fceatlanta.com.

CHANGES IN PRIVACY POLICY

Company reserves the right to amend the Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion and will provide notice on the home page of the Site when we make material changes to this Privacy Policy prior to the change becoming effective.

Our Site may include links to other sites whose privacy practices may differ from those of Company. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies. Please review the privacy policy of any web site you visit.

CHILDREN

We do not intend to solicit or collect Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, do not enter information on this site or utilize our services. If you believe a child of yours under the age of 18 has entered Personal Information, please contact carolyn_christie@fceatlanta.com to have the data removed and terminate the child’s account.

Again, you can exercise these rights by contacting us. You have the right to opt-out of marketing communications we send you at any time. You can exercise this right by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in the marketing emails we send you or from your account settings page.  Similarly, if we have collected and process your Personal Information with your consent, then you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
